Join us at the Hershey Public Library for a Chess Tournament on Saturday, January 5. Open to chess players of all ages and skill levels. 3 rounds with players in Quad sections based on rating and age. Young players and players new to rated chess tournaments are welcome and encouraged to participate! - Current United States Chess Federation (USCF) membership is required. Sign up for USCF at www.uschess.org
- Advanced registration: Players must register online in advance through Eventbrite, or arrive by 10:00 AM to register at the site to participate. $15 online through Friday, January 4 . On-site registration: $20 Saturday, November 3rd. 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT:
Open (all ages) and Scholastic Quads. Quads are 4 player sections. Each player plays one game vs each player in his/her quad.
G/25; d/5. Games played with chess clocks, 25 minutes per player (5 second delay for each move)
At site Registration: 9:30 – 10:00 AM
Round 1: 10:30 AM
Rounds 2 & 3: 11:30 AM & 12:30 PM or earlier
Open Quads: $40 1st place
Scholastic quads: Trophy: 1st place (minimum 2 pts)
Medal: 2 pts (non-trophy winners)
Ribbons: Players not qualifying for a trophy or medal
